The 2024 Floorball Canada National Championship welcomed a pair of lopsided performances and a back-and-forth battle on opening night.
Team Ontario and Team Quebec kicked things off on the men’s side. Ontario was on the board early, establishing a 4-0 lead during the first period.
Quebec avoided being shutout when Alexandre Dupont found the mesh, but it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum.
Team Ontario continued to find goals, both Andrew Bourque and Reed Hunsberger logged hat tricks. Ontario’s high-octane offence earned them a concise 13-1 win.

Elise Van Thielen opened the scoring, granting Ontario an opening period lead that would last the entire match.

Meghan Jeffries closed the game with deep shot, making it a final score of 5-0.
