Matt Smith – Head Coach Matt has coached the Men’s U19 team since 2017 (2017, Vaxjo, 2019 Halifax, 2022 Salt Lake City). Matt leads the Ottawa Blizzard Floorball Club for over 10 years now and has been involved with Floorball Canada since 2014. The club has generated a strong presence on the national stage with U19 and national team players. Matt also leads floorball sessions in Ottawa and international floorball camps for U19 groups. He enjoys coaching competitive level players and wants to help elevate the floorball competition in Canada to help make us a more competitive floorball nation for years ahead.
Contact: Matt.Smith@floorballcanada.org Jennifer McKay – General Manager Jennifer (Jenn) McKay is taking over from Stuart Bowden who has coordinated the team since 2017. Jenn currently leads the Truro Tsunami who play in the East Coast Floorball League (ECFL). Truro, as well as all of Nova Scotia, has a strong contingent of U19 eligible players for years to come. We are very lucky to have a leader like Jenn stepping up to help oversee and manage our team moving forward and having a presence and voice for the players in that region. Jenn is excited to see the team succeed and has been working on preparations for the team's upcoming qualification matches against the USA. In her spare time, away from travel and parenting, Jenn heads her own veterinary practice.
