Introducing Iiro Romo – Head Coach for Floorball Canada at The World Games 2025 in China
Floorball Canada proudly announces Iiro Romo as the Head Coach for the Men's National Team competing at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China.
With a deep-rooted passion for the sport, Iiro began his floorball journey in the mid-1990s as a player. His coaching career took off in 2013 with the Kirkkonummi Rangers Men’s Team. Since then, he has built a strong reputation through his dedication and strategic insight. For the past eight seasons, Iiro has held multiple coaching and leadership roles with Hawks Helsinki, including Head Coach positions for both the Men’s and U22 Teams.
On the international stage, Iiro has made significant contributions. He led the French National 3v3 Team as Head Coach in Lahti 2024 and Switzerland 2025, where the team achieved a remarkable Top 4 finish, including a memorable victory over Finland.
Guided by his core philosophy — “Together we are stronger” — Iiro brings a team-first mentality, a wealth of experience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence as he leads Canada onto the world stage.
